Alexandra Dickens

Alexandra Dickens has been painting for over 30 years and has exhibited worldwide. After moving to St Ives in 1995 she opened her own gallery where she continues to show her distinctly original paintings. Dramatic moments in nature inspire much of Alexandra’s landscapes and seascapes, and relying on memory of impressions enables her to convey the essence of place without drawing too heavily on representation. Alexandra’s expressive and captivating seascapes are emotionally provocative, reflective and engaging. While her work, and the range of techniques she employs, is constantly evolving, themes of movement and light are frequently explored. Her exciting vibrant colour palate and dynamic painting make her work instantly recognisable.
