Ewan John

Ewan John studied at Edinburgh College of Art and won a major drawing prize at the Society of Scottish Artists Exhibition 2011 and sold out of his prints at the Royal Scottish Academy Exhibition. He has become renowned for his painstakingly delicate pen and ink drawings of birds in Regency era costumes - his humorous works transport us to a different time and place, where etiquette and a wonderful wardrobe were a must and a Ball was the highlight of the season. This series of birds is taken from that period, all beautifully adorned in their smartest garments. Each one is from a very limited edition, all signed, numbered and dated by hand and available to buy beautifully framed or unframed - the choice is yours. The draughtsmanship and skill employed in the execution of each of these images is exquisite and we've already chosen our favourite!
