Steve Kaufman

Born in 1960 - California Artist Steve Kaufman opened his Los Angeles studio, The Art Studio, in August 2000. As Andy Warhol's legman and creative assistant for nearly 10 years, his long link to 'The Factory' is evident in his own output. As the only painter ever to be awarded commissions by both the Van Gogh & Picasso estates, Steve Kaufman specialises in the here and now, capturing the excitement and cultural ebb and flow of his generation. The artist passed away in 2010 and this is a rare opportunity to acquire a piece of original work previously held in a private collection. Not normally available outside of LA, Sotheby's and Christies have both held very successful auctions of Kaufman's work and we are delighted to be able to bring you this very special members only view on ACHICA’s Fine Art platform.
