Kirsty Allsopp's Home Living launch
Kirsty Allsopp launched her new Home Living range yesterday and I went along to check it out. Kirsty’s new collection of bedlinen was unveiled in the stunning location (location, location) of Searcy’s in Knightsbridge. While waiting for Kirsty to come down the sweeping staircase and officially launch her range (much like waiting for a bride to come down the stairs at her wedding) I devoured the gorgeous afternoon tea that was being served (as civilised as I could when greeted by a mountain of mini chocolate profiteroles).
So, anyway, the new range features four patterns named Miranda, Camille, Sabrina and Lydia (inspiration for a new TV show perhaps? Sex In The Country).
*Pictured above: Kirsty Allsopp at Searcy’s yesterday in front of her new Miranda range of bedlinen from the Home Living collection.
Miranda is a vintage design reminiscent of 1950s fashion prints with a modern twist:
Camille is a cool, crisp classic design with smart shirting stripes and a neat geometric pattern:
Lydia is a country polka dot and gingham design:
…and Sabrina – an intricate ornamental paisley pattern with a posy spot reverse. ‘It was so much fun working with these vintage fabrics and lovely colours,’ said Kirsty of her new range. ‘I hand picked the vintage style patterns because I wanted to create a collection that had a unique, but familiar homely look; the vintage designs evoke a nostalgic feel, yet have been used in a contemporary way.’

Hi Polly
It’s by http://www.flemingtondesign.com – the company is based in Inverness in Scotland. It specialises in French inspired furniture for all areas of the home and as well as furniture, the company is frequently commissioned to make bespoke pieces specifically to individual’s designs. Hope that helps, Emily
