Today everyone at ACHICA Living is admiring the beautiful home furnishings and photography of designer Anne Fortin. It’s so refreshing to come across a range of home furnishings that are not only eco-friendly and ethically sourced, but look and feel luxurious. Using organic, recycled and natural fibres in cottons, silks and eco-friendly dyes, Anne Fortin’s eco home furnishing range includes cushions, placemats, napkins, runners, aprons, table cloths, curtains, bags and purses. There’s toile-printed and plain organic cotton and silk designs to choose from, in punchy colours such as violet, copper and lime that are bound to brighten up your home.
After training in Fashion Design in Paris, French-born Anne packed her bags and came to London to study Costume Design. ‘I wanted to bring a colourful and modern look to organic fabrics at a reasonable price,’ explains Anne. ‘My influences come from Art Nouveau and Art Deco and I try to capture the style of those eras and modernise it, simplify and adapting it to a more contemporary taste using a mix of European colours with contrasting brights.’ The pieces are certainly perfect for an instant spring update at home and the photography is wonderfully cooling on my tired eyes…
