Add flair to your lair

Add traditional flair to your lair with vintage bed linen from the V&A Collection’s archive designs. Enchanté, we say…

For an instant style update that’s perfect for Spring, these beautiful designs from the V&A Collection will add magic to your room: they use textiles designs from original 18th and 19th Century V&A Museum archives. French Bow bed linen (pictured above and below) is an intricately patterned jacquard weave in muted sage, scattered with flowers, ribbons and sprays of oak, bay and acanthus foliage in ivory. The design was inspired by a colour woodblock print wallpaper from the second half of the 19th Century, held in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum. The duvet cover has a co-ordinating plain dye reverse, for when you fancy a change or have a hangover and can’t be doing with anything too fussy…

Thurloe Rose bed linen (below) is a refreshing combination of floral and stripe patterns in rose and aqua and also provides a good excuse to lie back and hit the snooze button…
