In with the old: hot Abigail’s Party style
It’s not just fashion having a love affair with all things 1970s this season – interiors seems to be enjoying Saturday Night Fever too. The signature of the new W Hotel in Leicester Square is a gargantuan disco ball hanging in its entrance hall, but for the rest of us the key is to embrace colour, curves, and big bold prints. Think Abigail’s Party-style pop-patterned wallpaper, leather sofas and lots and lots of kitsch. It takes more than just flair – or even just a pair of flares – to pull this off, as it can look messy quickly. Try sticking to one colour palette and leave some walls plain as a neutral backdrop to the accessories. Then wearing an Abba wig and platforms is purely up to you.
The future’s bright: BHS sells some retro-tastic lighting, while the ACHICA Premier promotion (on 6 May 2011) features a couple of eye-catching Panton-style chairs.
Flower power: Floral coffee pot from Wintersmoon (below)
Wooden wonder: Canteen Utility chair from Pedlars
Prints charming: Nos Da cushion from Rume
Feeling blue: Lusk sofa from Heals
Wall flowers: Sunset lace wallpaper from Graham & Brown

I love the orange glass ceiling light in the top photo. Any ideas where I could get one?
Mark
Hi Mark
You should be able to find that in http://www.BHS.co.uk lighting range.
If not, let me know and I’ll look into it
Thanks
