A little birdie told us about ferm LIVING
As the ultra stylish Danish design company ferm LIVING comes to ACHICA this week, we take a close look at its hot designs du jour that are, quite literally, flying off the shelves…
You may well have spotted these adorable bird images making a statement on fabrics and furnishings recently, created by Copenhagen based designers ferm LIVING, who produce interior products with a distinctive graphic touch. Founded by Trine Andersen in 2005, the company’s stylish range features wallpaper, wall stickers, textiles, kitchen items and a kids collections. ferm LIVING came to fruition when Trine, just for fun, decided to visit a clairvoyant. She was astonished when the clairvoyant ‘saw a little bird sitting confused on a branch, not knowing which way to fly!’ This encouraged Trine to follow her dream and start her new business and explains why you’ll see a little bird sit on top of the company’s logo and feature in many of the wonderful designs. We particularly love the distinctive Birdcage Tea Towels and Cushions (below), don’t you?

Your timing is perfect. I’ve just spoken to the buyers at ACHICA and there’s a promotion with Heathfield tomorrow (June 30 2011), which features the leaf lamp from the ACHICA advert.
As for Orange cushions, there’s a Mikhail Pietranek cushions promotion next Wed (quite a traditional range) and then a Malini cushions promotion the week after (a more modern range) and both should have a small selection of orange cushions in them. There’s also a Moltex promotion tomorrow (June 30 2011), which has some cushions with touches of orange in them. Hope you find what you’re looking for, thanks, Emily
Hi, I love the orange bulb light on the night table in the picture with the birds on the bed room wall. Are these also Ferm Living, because I couldn’t find them on their website?
