The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2011 was a delight this year as expected – read the ACHICA Living report on it here - and the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show next month looks to be just as impressive. If you’re a keen gardener and feel like you could give Dairmuid Gavin a run for his Irish Sky Garden, then you’ll be pleased to hear ACHICA Living has teamed up with the RHS to give away a pair of tickets to the world’s largest flower show – the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2011 – for any day between the 5th-10th July. At the show this year, you can explore the RHS Edible Garden and witness artisan production methods first-hand – from hop pickers on stilts to the art of bee-keeping – displaying the very best in growing your own with almost every plant having an end (mainly edible) use. Other highlights include the stunning Conceptual Gardens and inspiring Poets’ Gardens, dedicated to the works of Keats, Byron, Lewis Carroll, and other British literary greats. There will also be chance for shopping, dining and enjoying live music throughout the day.
Membership to the RHS will bring you days out at breathtakingly beautiful gardens and shows, one-to-one advice from RHS experts, as well as inspirational tips from a monthly magazine to help your garden flourish. I have never been much of a gardener – leaving my husband to it, but have always loved to see a nice garden. I can smell the sweet scent of success
I lost an earring last year at Hampton Court Palace and it was of very great sentimental value. I’m pretty sure where I dropped it and need to get back into the show to dig it up. Also I love flowers and leaves and soil and…and ornamental grasses.
