High-street hottie: M&S’s collaboration with Sir Terence Conran

I love Marks and Spencer’s. Unashamedly, whole-heartedly, and without any trace of irony. Sure, those Twiggy ads tested my patience, but they’ve gone now, and may they quickly be forgotten. For starters (and mains, puddings, and post-dinner digestifs) you can’t beat their amazing food halls, and anyone who claims not to love Percy Pigs is clearly telling porky pies. But more to the point, its interiors collections have been getting stronger and stronger with every passing season. Remember the pretty Bloom range, all painterly flowers and pretty details? Then there’s the new Fjord line, with clean wood finishes and an understated calm. But what’s really getting interiors journalists hot under their poly-blend collars is the latest collaboration with Sir Terence Conran, which has just launched in store. Previously a closely-guarded secret, new pictures were recently released, just when we’re all feeling nostalgic for some good, affordable, high-street design. Block colours, considered shapes, and every piece featuring prominently on our wish list. What more would you expect?
