Statement wallpaper – the key to great style

I think I may have mentioned once or twice that I’m a big fan of wallpaper. Anything that’s really striking will tick all the boxes for me, so you can imagine how thrilled I was to receive info on the latest designs from Fired Earth. Information on most new releases comes via email these days so when a beautifully presented thick envelope arrived in the post I knew I was going to be in for something special. It turns out Fired Earth, who is best known for its stunning tiles and gorgeous heritage paints, has ventured into designing a new wallpaper range called The Ottoman wallpaper collection. It features three gorgeous designs, each available in three colourways, which perfectly team up with the Fired Earth paint collection.

Entering the Hammam is my favourite of the designs. Its key motifs are perfectly positioned to add a hit of fun to any wall. Although it's a relatively busy design, it's monochrome finish means it would work well with most interior schemes. Add a dash of bold colour in fixtures and soft furnishings and you've got an eye-catching look.

Moorish Garden is a twist on a classic floral design with a fresh retro feel. I love the detail on this wallpaper, such as the dots on each flower petal and the intricate lines on the leaves.

Alhambra Palace is a geometric wallpaper design that's influenced by palaces, fountains and gardens. The colour combinations are striking. Take the teal design for instance - a timeless finish that will still look good in years to come...
