Decorate and celebrate with quirky new table decorations
We often forget just how stressful it can be to cook dinner for eight people. Until half an hour before they show up, when the main course is burnt, the starter is still frozen, the pudding is looking like it will have to be replaced by another round of cocktails and you’re wishing you had never suggested the evening in the first place. Fortunately, this year’s table settings are camp, crazy, over the top, and so fun they should help get you into the party spirit even if you’re still wrestling with getting your white bean cassoulet to just the right consistency. The key is to mix in some pop colours or unusual shapes. Think surprising and surreal, such as some random animals, or ironically traditional, like a pouting cherub or nymph. Ridiculous, yes, but likely to provide distraction from any kitchen nightmares you’re apologetically having to serve up.
Bunny business – rabbits are rampant in the quirky design department at Heal’s (above)
Flaming beauties – these tea light holders from Ella James add colour and flare
Pitcher perfect – fill with wine and let this jug from Seek and Adore become a diversion from your cooking
Boy wonder – this ironic candlestick from Ghost Furniture is absolutely angelic
Cat power – these meerkats from Tesco will certainly be a talking point

Hi can you tell where I might get those colourful dining chairs from ?
Hi, I really like the “quirkyness” of the set dinner table, it looks good, & would be a good talking point while having your meal. The colours of chairs & table wear, are excellent, a real look of the “Phillipe Starky” designs.
A colourful bonus to any dining room.
thank you, i enjoy the Blogs. Pat.
