The Estate of Francis Bacon commemorates the legendary artist

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Francis Bacon’s death, The Estate of Francis Bacon has created a selection of lifestyle products based on the legendary artist’s paintings, his quotations and items from his Reece Mews studio. The artist's bold and emotionally raw imagery is unmistakeable and attention grabbing. His Study after Velazquez's Portrait of Pope Innocent X (below), painted in 1953, is a personal favourite.

This curated collection from his Estate means you can be reminded of Bacon’s genius at home in everyday items such as cushion covers, mugs, t-shirts, belts, trays and beach towels. Highlights include a cashmere throw with the artist’s signature and iconic quote: ‘The job of the artist is always to deepen the mystery’. The collection also includes a beach towel with the words: 'I believe in deeply ordered chaos', a silk scarf featuring a portrait of Bacon taken in 1972, a belt with Francis Bacon's portrait and a set of black expresso cups printed with his quote: ‘I painted to be loved’. And, indeed this talented British figurative painter is one to cherish by long-standing Bacon enthusiasts and to an up-and-coming generation of art fans alike.

The Francis Bacon promotion at ACHICA ends at 6.30am Friday 27th July 2012.
