The New York Design Festival 2012 kicks off this week and what an inspiring week it promises to be, with a side order of ‘awesome’ and a double serving of ‘ooh that would look fab-u-lous in my living room’. As part of BlogTourNYC, hosted by the wonderful interior design resource that is Modenus, ACHICA Living will be reporting live from New York this week to bring you the latest design news and report back with expert advice from the hottest homeware gurus including designer-du-jour Jonathan Adler.
As if the city wasn’t amazing enough, this week New York will play host to some delicious design events including the Architectural Digest Home Design Show 2012. The epic show is in its 11th year, and will feature over 300 home furnishings and design exhibits – from furniture to fabrics and tabletop to technology. Much like the UK’s very own London Design Week, but on New York time, with American style and possibly an Old Fashioned cocktail or two, there will be seminars with design luminaries, cooking demonstrations with celebrity chefs and design consultations to get your creative cosmos flowing. We can’t wait to share our finds with you from out and about town.
As well as getting sidetracked gazing longingly into the window at Tiffany’s on Fifth Avenue and indulging in the odd doughnut or two at Baskin Robbins (*would be rude not to, eherm*), ACHICA Living will be mingling with BlogTourNYC sponsors all week. These include luxury homeware and lifestyle brands Miele, Blanco, Poggenpohl, Samuel Heath, Spirit of Sports, Scholtes, Duverre Hardware, Victoria & Albert Baths, Modern Aire, Jenn Air, Vitra (image below), Axor, Wallunica and Ethan Allen. We’ll be sure to quiz the experts for their top home and lifestyle tips and report back with essential advice, and possibly a fun Manhattan cocktail recipe or two that you can try at home, so do stay tuned…
