Design blogger and journalist Stacey Sheppard, whose blog is one the of UK’s Top 10 Interior Design blogs (Cision), has a passion for interior architecture, design and everything in between. This week Stacey picks out her favourite finds at ACHICA and tells us why they’ve caught her eye. Find out what hot buys Stacey has chosen on her wish list here…
‘The Memo range from ASA Selection – at ACHICA on Wednesday 16 May
I love this range as it’s a fun and quirky take on ceramics. Each piece features a small chalk board label that can be used to leave messages or to document the contents of each container. I’d use these to leave cute little messages all over the kitchen for my husband to find.’
‘The Baghera Le Mans Car in Classic Racing Green – at ACHICA on Monday 14 May
This is a great choice for kids. The classic little pedal car will have them zooming around the garden as if it were a real race track. I can imagine that they’ll be the envy of all the other kids, especially when kitted out in the Baghera racing hat and goggles.’
‘The Anglepoise Giant 1227 – at ACHICA on Tuesday 15 May
A regular fixture on my most-wanted list, this over-sized version of the British design icon has a great story behind it and will add a touch of theatrical scale to any room. If you are going to buy an Anglepoise, I suggest you definitely make it a supersize.’
‘Kingston Park Escana Large Sideboard in Oak – at ACHICA on Thursday 17 May
Natural wood seems to be making a comeback of late as people have discovered a renewed appreciation for craftsmanship and sustainable materials. This sideboard will add a subtle sense of modern sophistication to any living or dining room and provides a great solution for storing unsightly clutter. I need this in my life.’
‘Normann Copenhagen Strainer in Red – at ACHICA on Friday 18th May
Normann Copenhagen has a great range of products all made from traditional materials with a slightly unconventional spin. This fantastic folding colander designed by Boje Estermann is made from a rigid, food-safe rubber that allows it to be collapsed down when not in use. I think this is great as it is easy to store and takes up far less room than a traditional strainer.’
