We’re excited to have talented interior designer Andrew Dunning as ACHICA Living’s Design Blogger Guest Shopper this week. As a top designer Andrew has been creating aspirational homes for his clients for almost 10 years. He also writes an award-winning design blog APD Interiors and was the official blogger for the most recent Decorex Interior Design Show. Over a flat white coffee, we gave Andrew a sneak preview of what’s coming up on ACHICA this week and got him to pick out his top 5 design buys. See what has caught Andrew’s eye here…
In at number one…Nimbus Bed Linen – at ACHICA from Thursday 14 June 2012.
‘Plain white bed linen is my number 1 bedroom decorating must-have – it just never goes out of fashion. This design from Nimbus has beautiful embroidery that would add another layer of detail to your bedroom. I would add some colour with cushions and throws, and then change them every season to keep the look fresh.’
At number two…Joseph Joseph Double Dish – at ACHICA from Tuesday 12 June 2012
‘I have been a fan of Joseph Joseph since the early days and its products are a great way to add splashes of colour to your home. This ingenious Double Dish can be used to serve olives or pistachios with the stones or shells stored out of sight. ‘Serving afternoon tea has become fashionable again and is one of my favourite ways to entertain friends. Tea always involves cakes and I’d love this cake stand from Alessi. The image of the little chap struggling to hold up the cakes would add a fun touch to your tea party.’

‘Vintage movie prints are a firm favourite of mine and a wonderful way to keep memories alive. This stretched canvas print delivers the image in a refreshing format. Every home should have some bling so I could easily squeeze some Goldfinger into mine. After all, who doesn’t love James Bond?’
At number 5…Libra chair – At ACHICA from Monday 11 June 2012.
‘Geometric designs have the now factor and I’d love this chair for my own home. The retro styling is combined with a colourful Designer’s Guild fabric to make this an easy chair to add to any interior scheme. I would pick up on the greys in the fabric to get a look that is very much on trend for 2012 yet equally timeless.’
