Tent London is one of the most exciting shows of the London Design Festival and this year it was (as always) packed full of ideas and inspiration thanks to the abundance of young talent and designers we spotted. If you didn’t get a chance to pop along, no worries, as we’ve picked out some of our favourite bits…
Tent was designer Sian Elin’s first trade show, so you saw it here first! She combines bright colours with geometric prints for a Mid-Century inspired look, brought right up to date. Invest in one of her cushions and team it with boldly mixed and matched colour and pattern.
Deborah Bowness’ wallpaper (pictured above) is a fabulous way to include beautiful things in your home that you simply don’t have the space for. Everything from iconic chairs to a beautiful collection of cut crystal is included in her collection. Create the illusion of more space by putting it on your walls.
And finally, Piers Saxby Candy inspires us to re-use, recycle and get our hands dirty in a bit of DIY. He finds or makes every element of these lights himself right down to the fixings. The metal shade is reclaimed and the plaster shade is cast in a jelly mould. Or, if you’re not handy with a hammer, you could always just buy one for an instant bit of industrial chic.
