Living room featuring original white marble fireplace, original mirror in Trumeau with gold leaf, silk & wool rug by Ebru and Dedar curtains.
A neutral palette of dusty pinks, gold and white runs throughout the property. The varying styles of the designs range from deco 1920s and 30s to 1960s modernism, with contemporary elements.
The white walls of the living spaces accentuate the high and ornate ceilings, as do the two-tone floor-length curtains. Combined with low, sleek furnishings and a central grand, gilded mirror, the living room décor creates an intimate space to relax, while drawing the eye upwards for a feeling of spaciousness.
Dining room featuring Cabuy flooring in painted Hungarian Oak, Ruben lighting in brass and leather and tweed fabric dining chairs by HMD.
In the dining area, the colour scheme continues fluidly, and a more contemporary edge is introduced. Mid-century style chairs are paired with a designer chandelier and a contemporary artwork.
Kitchen and dining area featuring Modular lotis lighting in gold, bespoke mirror, bespoke cabinets in black painted oak with Carrara marble and vintage table with tempered black glass and chrome legs.
A trace of black runs throughout the apartment, a signature element of Laura Gonzalez’s design style. This element adds a bold edge to the delicate French style. In the Marbeuf apartment, the kitchen features black cabinets, chairs and bench with a bold black undressed window frame. This depth of colour sets off the softness of the neutral pinks, white and gold.
Bedroom featuring beige wool carpet by Bineau, Maison de la Literie bed linen, wall sconce by Ginger & Jagger, chair by Branco Branco upholstered in velour and artwork by Gardeco.
Bathrooms with flooring and walls in marble, bespoke baths and sinks in marble, and bespoke mirrors.
For the bedroom, Gonzalez combined a soft palette with soft, rounded edges for a comfortable look and feel. Textures play a key part in these rooms, combining soft Dedar fabric and velour with marble and polished brass. Lit with lamps, the lighting is equally gentle and inviting. The bedrooms pass through to two bathrooms, both with a sharp-edged marble aesthetic. The contrast between bedroom and bathroom creates a perfect balance between Parisian polished finish and elegant French style.
