Do you appreciate the detail in design? The beauty of something handmade? Craft is the new chic and the hosts of London Craft Week know it. This month the third edition of the London event commences, a celebration of the very best in international and British creativity and craftsmanship. Book yourself into a mix of demonstrations and workshops with a curated list of free-to-attend and open house events, hosted by the likes of Mulberry and Christian Louboutin. Each taking place at a different bustling London location, this is unarguably one of the city's best free events.

See - David Mach at the Griffin Gallery

Take a dive and discover David Mach's new solo exhibition at the Griffin Gallery. Mach's installation INCOMING will be created using 20 tonnes of newspapers and magazines to form an insuppressible wave which explodes through the gallery walls, claiming all manner of objects in its wake.

Watch - Wozyeck at the Old Vic

Jack Thorne's 2017 remake of Georg Büchner's Wozyeck will see its opening night this month at The Old Vic Theatre. The award-winning Thorne, known best for This Is England and Harry Potter & The Cursed Child, revives the classic play beautifully with a modern setting and new voice. Thorne's fresh perspective is realised by a lofty all-star cast, namely John Boyega, the young actor who recently shot to stardom in the 2015 Star Wars remake, which saw him claim the BAFTA Rising Star Award.

Eat - The return of Ping Coombes Breakfast Club

Back by popular demand, MasterChef winner Ping Coombes returns with her delectable breakfast club. Hosted at London's Chi Kitchen, Coombes offers up a heavenly feast of South East Asian inspired dishes for diners to try, an explosion of taste and colour. Must-eats includes the Chinese egg tart and the Hainanese chicken rice, Malaysia's most popular street food which you'll be trying to recreate in your own kitchen for weeks to come.

Discover - Clerkenwell Design Week

Free to attend, Clerkenwell Design Week is the number one place to head for inspiration this month. Set in Clerkenwell, home to more creative business and architects per square mile than anywhere on the planet, it plays host to some of the UK's leading and international design brands. Showcased across a series of events, the design community flock in their hundreds to sample the vast itinerary - featuring everything from design projects and street spectacles to topic-led talks and exhibitions.

Descended upon by over 220,000 visitors each year, Affordable Art Fair is a true Shangri-La for all art lovers. Catering to all tastes and price ranges, AAF creates a place where everyone can fall in love with art, featuring a mix of established galleries, prestigious names and upcoming talent for the public to browse and buy. The fair travels to 10 cities including Hong Kong and Milan, with the London edition commencing on the 10th of May.

Visit - The World of Anna Sui

The incomparable World of Anna Sui is making its UK debut this May at the Fashion and Textile Museum, opening its doors to a wave of purple and Sui's signature rock-romanticism aesthetic. The retrospective exhibition on the American designer will see over 100 of her most iconic and inspirational looks from the Sui catwalk archives, journeying the history of fashion too as it spans her creative and illustrious career.
