Greenery is still proving to be the colour of the year and the indoor plant craze has now extended to our walls. This season we're seeing palm prints make room for catci, with bright plant wallpapers. These are great for light and bright spaces, like open plan living areas and kitchens, as it has a natural touch. Classic furniture is the design touch you need to turn it from novel to noteworthy. Accessorise with shades of aubergine, forest green and dark teal; and then next season, keep it light with whites, grey and pale blue.
Whether you're channeling a 60s stripe or want something fresh to go with that mid century sideboard, salmon pinks and taupey blush tones are the perfect complement to all those yellows, oranges and wood veneers. In autumn, pepper with shades of rust and copper, and when summer comes along you can brighten it up with deck chair blues and sunny yellows. Versatile and chic, our favourite.
Blue is forecasted to take on a royal air for A/W 17, with lapis damasks and country florals in indigo. This style is serene, yet formal enough to be used in a dining space which is all down to the pattern you choose. Avoid a coastal impression by staying away from stripes or brighter shades of blue and instead opt for dainty forestscapes in chalky blues and silvery tones.
