Water can destroy your bag over time, the summer heat will cause discoloration to the canvas and the cold will harden soft canvas making it crack. Louis Vuitton bags need kept at room temperature. Never use chemicals on the bag. If the leather becomes dry, it can crack. Use a leather lotion to counter any signs of cracks. The Monogram Collection bags are made from a coated canvas and trimmed with leather. The coated canvas is somewhat water resistant, but not waterproof. Use a clean and dry cloth to clean the surface.
