This is a wine of great finesse and purity. A hint of Rousanne in the blend adds complexity. The nose shows red fruit, chocolate and spices leading into an elegant and well-balanced palate with a good structure, well-integrated tannins and long finish. A ‘Grand Vin’ that will show its greatness after a few years careful cellaring. The classical vinification includes complete de-stemming followed by long macerations. The wine is matured in oak barrels for 18 months (1/3 new, 1/3 1 year old, 1/3 2 years old barrels.)
