This new work reflecting examination of Dutch still life painting includes a Jug, bowl, cup, flask, and vase in a one-off collection.

These vessels are hand formed and sculpted in a smooth stoneware clay. Once the artists has settled on the forms after constructing, she then paints the semi dried pieces with a red under glaze colour, concentrating it in areas to cause runs and drips down the forms. She then studies the shape of each vessel and 'draws' outlines with a black under glaze to highlight the lines of the pots and the play of light and shadow.

These pieces have been created to stand as a group of sculptural forms. Non-functional, they are not suitable for food. Enjoy them as they are, arrange them how you like...stand them on their own or to be appreciated within a collection of ceramics.

Each piece bears the maker's mark. Sizes are approximate but the largest piece (vase) stands at 23cm tall, the bowl is 6cm tall.
