The hand painted Original Production Cel actually used in the making of Walt Disney Studio's 1942 Animated Classic 'Bambi'. The original celluloids were considered by the Studio as nothing more than a 'tool of the job', once they were photographed and placed onto film, they were simply destroyed. However, the 'Courvoisier Galleries' in the 1930-40's sold some of the artwork and produced backgrounds for the 'cels'. This particular cel and background is one of those setups.

These fleeting moments of animated history are now highly collectable, and have a strong secondary market, with collectors around the world continually seeking artwork from their favourite film and scene.
