Virgil Ross was an incredibly prolific and popular Oscar Winning American cartoonist and animator, whose career spanned 60 years. He received the highest awards available in his profession such as the Winsor McCay Award in 1988, and 4 Oscars for his animation. He is considered one of the legendary Animation Directors for Warner Bros. animating Bugs Bunny in his first appearance in 'A Wild Hare' (1940). Sadly, Virgil Ross passed away in 1996.
