When the block lamp was introduced in 1996, design juries and lovers of beautiful objects took it to their hearts, where it has remained. The block lamp, designed by Harri Koskinen for Design House Stockholm, is still one of their most popular products – with its unique features and Scandinavian touch is a stylish and eye catching piece. Each part of the block lamp is hand cast and undergoes an extremely long cooling process to avoid cracking later on if exposed to strong temperature changes. The matt bulb shape is sand-blasted.
