The deep blue colour and pattern of this design was inspired by a textile in the V&A's Asian collection, incorporating symbols of good luck and longevity. The auspicious motifs were created with a technique known as Kasuri, which involved the binding of sections of yarn prior to dyeing. Off-white geometric motifs contrast with the indigo coloured ground of the quilted throw.
