Danish designer Mette Kargo Hvid's new silicone rubber Kontur Vase for Normann Copenhagen has already been snapped up by New York's Museum of Modern Art for its contemporary display. Kontur is designed in silicone rubber because this material, as well as being an alternative to ceramics, gives Kontur a surprisingly soft touch while imbuing it with a simple, informal character.
