Damselflies are a group of small sized brightly coloured insects renown for their fast movement and highly metallic bodies. The character of the nymphula (the larger metallic red species) has been encapsulated in this piece, through dramatic texture, layered metallic colour and fluid composition.

Mixed media incorporating acrylic, metallic enamel work, applique and sculpted high texture. Painted on a deep (gallery grade) handcrafted box canvas, ready to hang (hanging plates attached, no framing required).
