In 1974 Jane Shirley and other young mums began crafting children’s painting aprons and a range of home textiles from their kitchen tables. Now run by the second generation of Shirleys, the company, Shreds, has flourished and its bags, aprons and bibs, based on classic children’s book characters, have grown in popularity. With characters spanning from Beatrix Potter’s animals to Miffy to the Hungry Caterpillar, we’ve found all our childhood favourites and think you’ll love these fun and practical sets.
