Paxton & Whitfield

Originating as a cheese stall in Aldwych market in 1742, as London became increasingly affluent the business and reputation grew. This led to shops opening and the company receiving its first of many Royal Warrants from HM Queen Victoria in 1850. Maintaining contacts with traditional cheesemakers of rural Britain and bringing you the best Europe can offer it’s no wonder that Winston Churchill once observed, ‘a gentleman only buys his cheese at Paxton & Whitfield.’ Now in its third century of trading, Paxton & Whitfield hopes to share the fascinating and diverse world of cheese with ACHICA members too. With delivery due before the first weekend of June, what better way could there be to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee?The Paxton & Whitfield promotion at ACHICA starts at 6.30am Tuesday 1st May and ends at Friday 4th May at 6.30am.
