Indulging in some of the world’s finest chocolate and vanilla doesn’t necessarily have to come with a guilty conscience. The produce of Madécasse and Ndali taste divine and help to look after the community in which they are produced. 70% of the world’s cocoa comes from Africa, but less than 1% of chocolate is actually made there. Madécasse chocolate, made in Madegascar, makes up a portion of that 1%. This chocolate represents a personal connection to the island and a deeper understanding of the rich and complex flavours hidden inside the varieties of cocoa, vanilla and peppercorns found exclusively in Madagascar. Similarly, the Ndali Estate is a 1,000 acre mixed tropical farm amid the explosion craters of the Ndali Volcanic Field in Western Uganda. The farm specialises in exquisite quality Fair Trade vanilla that it grows on Ndali and buys from other Fair Trade Farmers.
