The Art of Beatrix Potter
As a child, Beatrix Potter was encouraged to draw and spent many hours making intricate sketches of animals and plants. Often using her pet rabbit, Benjamin Bouncer as a model, she created wonderful art featuring rabbits wearing bibs, and mice whose paws are busy with spinning, knitting and sewing. Beatrix Potter's first children’s book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, was published in 1902 by the London firm Frederick Warne & Co. It was an instant success and Beatrix went on to produce a total of twenty-three 'little tales', all published by Warne. We are thrilled to present a new collection of official limited-edition art created from the original material archived at the studio. Her gorgeous creations are presented with a beautiful colour palette and are the perfect collectable. Each one is hand numbered, has a certificate of authenticity, and is framed in a classic white frame.
