ACHICA > Tanner Krolle
The art of English leather craft is centuries old and coveted the world over. At its finest, it is a perfect marriage of form and function; combining elegance and finish with comfort and durability. Frederick Krolle, a second-generation master-saddler, founded his workshop near London’s St Paul’s Cathedral in 1856. He foresaw that the advent of the railway and steam shipping would create demand for fine quality luggage for the new breed of elegant traveller. As their wealth increased, affluent Victorians began to have their luggage made to order, and it is from this bespoke heritage that Tanner Krolle has built its reputation. Today, Tanner Krolle is still based in London and still crafts its timeless leather bags and cases by hand, using only the finest leathers and materials.
