Clarissa Hulse

Clarissa Hulse is one of the leading lights in the British textile world, uncompromising in her passion to deliver the ultimate combination of colour, print and fabrics. Born in Prague, Clarissa has since lived in Thailand, Spain, Italy and Greece, and it’s this eclectic background that has had a huge influence on her approach to colour and design. 'The beauty of nature fascinates me', Clarissa says, 'I draw most of my inspiration from the countryside, where I walk, take photographs and collect interesting things'. This interest is illustrated in many of the botanical forms that appear on her silk cushions, which she screen-prints by hand, as well as on her coordinating lampshades.
